The journey of the best pork

Although pig farming is a new venture for us, we’re committed to learning and growing every step of the way. Starting with high-quality, registered stock, we’re excited to explore the potential of these magnificent breeds and share updates on our progress. Join us on our journey back to the roots of real flavor, as we revive the legacy of traditional pork that’s both nutritious and delicious.

The disappointing experience of a rubbery, dry, and flavorless pork chop is all too familiar in today’s market, a stark reminder that the pork we consume has strayed far from its nutritious and delicious origins. Driven by a desire to rediscover the succulent and flavorful pork that graced tables 40 years ago—before pork was relegated to being just “the other white meat”—we embarked on a quest to find the real deal.

Our journey led us to the guardians of heritage—those venerable stewards who have preserved the bloodlines of yesteryear. After extensive research and careful consideration, we were fortunate to acquire old line Durocs from Mr. Henry Fudge in Alabama, chosen specifically for their remarkable marbling characteristics. In our pursuit of rediscovering the rich taste of red pork, we were also lucky enough to secure old line Berkshire sows from Mr. Corey Davis in Arkansas. Additionally, we’ve placed orders for old line Hampshire sows from the Harraway brothers in Alabama, further expanding our collection of heritage breeds.

Heritage Durocs

We chose the old line Durocs for their marbling and growth characteristics.

Old Line Berkshire

The old line Berkshires produce a wonderful red pork.

Free range hogs

We know animals are healthier when they don’t live in confined spaces with monotonous feed regimes. We are structuring our operations so sows can farrow outside and piglets can grow up plowing for roots and playing in the mud.
